Who We Are

Sarah Mayfield & Monika Greenhough are garden designers based in Sussex, bringing together horticultural expertise, ecological awareness and practical design to create thoughtful outdoor spaces of all sizes. With shared training and a strong foundation in plant science and garden design, we collaborate to deliver gardens that are beautiful, resilient and grounded in real-life use, from compact urban spaces to larger country gardens.

Together, we combine creativity, plant knowledge and practical experience to design gardens that are both beautiful and built to last.

The UK has lost 50% of its hedgerows in just 75 years, a devastating blow to our native wildlife. We believe our connection to nature is as vital as our connection to each other. With Hedgerow in the Sky, we’re sparking a conversation on how to support pollinators and people alike, proving that biodiversity can thrive at any height or size.
